Where can I pick-up/drop-off a car?

You can pick up and return the rented car from the Central Office of Global Rent a Car or Burgas Airport. See more about our locations here.

Do you offer delivery to a hotel/address?

Global Rent A Car offers deliveries to any hotel or address in the city of Burgas with a fee charged according to the distance from the hotel.

What are the working hours of Global Rent A Car?

Opening hours are from 09:00 to 18:00, Monday to Sunday. The offices serve clients outside working hours, by prior arrangement and fee.

Is there an extra charge if the rental or return time is outside business hours?

The “Out of hours” fee is €25 for service between 00:00-8:59 and 18:01-23:59.

Can the car be returned to a different location than the pick-up location?

Pick-up and drop-off of a car can take place in any of the indicated locations. If you wish to return/pick up the vehicle at a different location from those specified, you may be charged an additional fee, depending on the distance.

Is it allowed to go abroad?

No, our cars are not allowed to leave the territory of Bulgaria.

Is there a minimum age to rent a car?

The minimum age is 21 years, the driver must have a license for at least 3 years.

Is there a limit on the kilometers that the rental car can cover?

There are no mileage restrictions on the rental car.

Is fuel payable or included in the price?

The car comes with a full tank and must be dropped off with a full tank. When dropping off with missing fuel, the Client pays the missing fuel at a price of € 2.50, as well as a fee of € 10, unless a “Prepaid fuel” fee has been paid in advance. We recommend that you mainly use petrol stations from established chains such as OMV, Shell, Petrol, LUKOIL, Gazprom, Rompetrol.

IMPORTANT FOR TOYOTA HYBRIDS: All TOYOTA hybrid cars are refueled with GASOLINE.

Do I need to make a prepayment to book a car online?

When you make a reservation through our site, you can choose partial prepayment or full prepayment. Only after payment is made, we guarantee you the reservation of the desired car.

Do I need a credit card to rent a car? Can I use a debit card?

When renting a car you need to leave a deposit with a credit or debit card (Visa or MasterCard). The deposit amount is not withdrawn from your account, it is only blocked! After the end of the lease it is unblocked automatically within 30 days. The deposit varies between € 150 and €500 depending on the car class. The deposit can be left in cash, the amount is increased by 100%.


Is there a discount for regular Clients?

Regular Clients of Global Rent A Car receive an additional discount, which is based on the number of actual Reservations made.

Is the toll included in the price?

The price includes toll – vignette for the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria.

What insurances are included in the price?

The mandatory Civil Liability Insurance is included in the price of the rental car. We recommended a “FULL PROTECTION” insurance, which guarantees you a refund of the deposit in case of a road accident and exemption from administrative fee in case of a road accident. You will be provided with a replacement car and free roadside assistance if needed.

Is there a charge for an additional driver?

You can choose one additional driver as the fee is € 2,50/day (max. € 30).

What are the payment methods for online reservations (booking)?

The payment methods are: credit card or debit card, bank transfer and PayPal. The website is protected by a Certificate. The transactions via the website are protected with up to 256-bit encryption.


I made a reservation on the site, what’s next?

Within 24 hours after sending the reservation, we will send you an e-mail with confirmation and a link to your voucher. The email also contains a unique reservation number and PIN code. Through them, you can manage your reservation from the My Reservations menu on the

I have to print the voucher?

It is desirable to present a printed voucher. For your convenience, we also provide the opportunity to download the voucher in .pdf format and present it directly from your smartphone or tablet.

Can I make changes to the Reservation?

Yes, contact us on the phone or email provided. Customers who have a PIN code or reservation number (from the confirmation letter) have the opportunity to change or cancel their reservation from the My Reservations menu in “”.

Can I cancel my Reservation?

This is possible through your personal account. Reservations can be canceled/changed up to 72 hours before the start of the rental period, free of charge. If the Reservation is canceled less than 72 hours before the start of the rental period, a fee will be charged depending on the remaining period up to the specified start date and time of the rental.

Will my money be refunded upon cancellation?

Yes, but if you cancel a Reservation less than 72 hours before the start of the rental period, a fee will be charged as follows: if canceled up to 48 hours before the start date and time of rental – 30% of the final price of the Reservation, but not more than the value of the Reservation for 1 day; in case of cancellation up to 24 hours before the start date and time of the rental – 50% of the final price of the Reservation, but not more than the value of the Reservation for 2 days; in case of cancellation less than 24 hours before the start date and time of the rental – 100% of the final price of the Reservation, but not more than the value of the Reservation for 3 days.

Will I be met at Airport’s offices?

You will be greeted by our employee in the Arrivals Hall at the Airports.

What is the procedure if my flight is canceled/changed?

Car rental agents follow our flight schedules, but you must inform us in advance of the change.


What should I have when picking up a car?

The required documents are: a valid driver’s license, a passport or an ID card. It is recommended that you bring your voucher and credit card for the deposit.

What is the procedure for renting a car?

The Rental agreement will be completed and you will receive a copy of it. You will pay the rent and additional extras, if any. A full prepayment can be made before the start of the rental period. You can take out additional insurance. Your credit card deposit will be authorized (unblocked up to 30 days after the end of the rental). The deposit can be left in cash, the amount is increased by 100%. You will inspect the car for damage. In case of scratches or other damages, they will be noted in the Handover protocol/Contract.

What is a refundable deposit?

The deposit is a certain amount of money that is withheld when renting the car. The money remains blocked on your card until the end of the rental period, and it serves as a pledge to cover the cost of repairs in case of damage (not valid in the case of purchased “FULL PROTECTION” insurance and the presence of a Protocol from the Police). The deposit can also be left in cash, as the amount in cash is increased by 100%.

What happens if I am late in dropping-off the car?

If the client is late with the dropping-off after the expiration of the Rental agreement, a fee is charged as follows: up to 4 hours – one rental day; over 4 hours – 2 rental days, over 8 hours – 3 rental days.


What happens if I have an accident while renting?

In case of an accident, be sure to call the contact telephone number specified in the Rental agreement, as well as number 112 in order to inform the competent authorities (the Police).

Can I extend the rental period during the rental?

You must inform us in advance that you want to extend the rent. You will be asked to visit a Global Rent A Car office to sign a new Agreement. In case of impossibility to continue the rental of the specific car, due to its handover to a new Client, we will offer you an alternative.

What happens if I return the car earlier than expected?

The price for your entire rent is recalculated according to the standard price list, for the used period + 3 rental days.

What happens if I lose my car keys or documents?

You must report this immediately. For lost documents, registration number, GPS navigation or car keys, you owe a fee in Euros at the official rate available at the company’s offices plus the corresponding penalty.


What happens if the car is dropped-off damaged?

In the absence of the relevant Insurance and Protocol from the Police, the Client is liable up to the amount of the damage. We recommend purchasing an additional “FULL PROTECTION” insurance.


What happens if the car is dropped-off damaged?

On the day you receive the car, the amount of the deposit is blocked /authorized/ on your credit card, and then it is unblocked within 30 days after the end of the rental /cancellation of the authorization/. If the deposit is left in cash, the amount is refunded to you upon return of the car, after an inspection and acceptance of a complete set of documents.

What is the purpose of the Reservation voucher?

The Reservation voucher provides complete information about the booked services. Each voucher has a serial number and Client data.
